The gutsy young Saudi music producer has ruffled several feathers with his controversial videos, especially his latest release, Hwages, which highlighting the human rights issues faced by women in the Kingdom. The video, produced by 8ies Studios, has racked up more than five million views on YouTube since it was uploaded on December 23. It follows his dance hit Barbs, which has over 38.5 million views. Several people were reportedly arrested for inappropriate behaviour after uploading videos of themselves dancing to the song. With close to 360,000 subscribers on YouTube and 157,000 followers on Instagram, Majed Al-Esa looks set to continue revolutionising Saudi Arabia's (and the Arab world’s) music industry.
