AKuwaiti businessman of enormous influence in the Gulf, Bader Al Kharafi’s primary role is director for the familyowned MA Al Kharafi & Sons. However, this is only one of the many hats he wears, serving on boards for Zain in Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cable and Electric and Mitsubishi Egypt. Some turbulence did hit Al Kharafi & Sons last year when its holding company Al Khair sold a 69 per cent stake in the food giant Americana. Meanwhile Kuwait's Agility opened talks about potentially acquiring its construction firm Kharafi National. However, the construction company also won the Kuwait International Airport contract for $4.3bn.
