The Daily Show with Trevor Noah at the start of last year, as well as her hugely popular TED talk in March. Both appearances discussed the portrayal of Muslims in the media and assumptions about Islamic culture, and sought to shatter the stereotypes held my many in western countries. Her work as director of research at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding similarly aims to fight common misunderstandings about Muslims through sounds studies and statistical evidence.
