In a highly controversial and globally debated move, US-based journalist Noor Tagouri became the first hijabi to feature modestly dressed in adult-content magazine Playboy. While many supported Tagouri and praised her for challenging stereotypes by making a case for modesty and presenting an image of a strong Muslim woman, others criticised her decision to appear in a magazine long associated with the objectification of women.
