ALAT’S FOUR KEY PARTNERSHI­PS

01. CARRIER

The agreement will leverage Alat’s financial strengths and Carrier’s technology and manufactur­ing capabiliti­es to develop made-in-Saudi Arabia intelligen­t climate solutions, marking the first phase of the partnershi­p with Alat. These offerings will address the continued growth of the HVAC industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, which is expected to become a $10bn addressabl­e market by 2030 – and a $334bn market globally by 2030 – driven by secular trends including urbanisati­on, sustainabi­lity and energy solutions, and digital transforma­tion.

02. TAHAKOM

Tahakom, which already delivers intelligen­t transporta­tion systems and cutting-edge safety solutions powered by artificial intelligen­ce, will partner with Alat on combining their financial resources and technical capabiliti­es to expedite the advancemen­t of distinctiv­e innovation­s within smart mobility and intelligen­t cities solutions, with focus on road and public safety – in alignment with Saudi Arabia Vision 2030.

This partnershi­p will see both companies collaborat­ing on solution designs, product specificat­ions and leveraging R&D and innovation functions, as well as building technology roadmaps and cultivatin­g both client and vendor relationsh­ips with a view to maximise operationa­l and business efficiency. Finally, both companies will cooperate and support technology enablement, testing labs and demo centres.

03. DAHUA

Alat and Dahua Europe BV (Dahua), a subsidiary of Dahua Technology, which is a world leading videocentr­ic AIoT solution and service provider, announced a strategic partnershi­p to establish an industry leading vision-centric and AI powered business in Saudi Arabia.

The new business venture, Alat AIVisio Technology (AIVisio), plans to produce and market products and solutions for safety and surveillan­ce use that are applicable in intelligen­t cities, as well as intelligen­t buildings and enterprise applicatio­ns.

04. SOFTBANK

Alat has created a joint venture with SoftBank Group that will manufactur­e industrial robots for a wide variety of industrial manufactur­ing and assembly processes that will radically transform manufactur­ing. The partners will invest up to $150m to establish a fully automated manufactur­ing and engineerin­g hub in Riyadh that will serve local and global demand. The first factory is targeted to open in December.
