Abu Dhabi Executive Council approves new housing loans
Dh2.4b will be distributed among 1,200 beneficiaries across the emirate
The Abu Dhabi Executive Council yesterday adopted a new batch of citizens’ housing loans covering 1,200 bene-ficiaries spread over areas of the emirate with a value of up to Dh2.4 billion.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, was briefed about the initiative at the Crown Prince’s Court in Abu Dhabi.
The projects and community centres will be developed in a number of areas of the emirate on the basis of joint cooperation between the public and private sectors which will allow investors to enter into a partnership with the public sector in accordance with formulas that safeguard the rights of all contracting parties.
Shaikh Mohammad also approved the promotional identity of the emirate of Abu Dhabi on the plates of vehicles registered in the emirate, contributing to the promotion of its identity and taking into account the new plates must be of high aesthetic design highlighting the uniqueness of Abu Dhabi and its global excellence as a leading destination.
Informing beneficiaries
The Council directed the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority for loan disbursements to proceed in accordance with procedures and to inform beneficiaries of the loans to serve their choices in construction or completing the building of their houses.
The Executive Council also approved the distribution of 263 new homes to citizens in Al Falah area and 736 plots of residential land in the north of Al Wathba area.
The Executive Council approved the establishment of a human resources body for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and integrating the Abu Dhabi Council of Tawteen (Emiritisation) to it.
The Council reviewed the annual performance report to the Government of Abu Dhabi in 2014 which provides a full summary of the performance of key sectors of the government: Government affairs, security, justice, safety, social development, economic development, infrastructure, the environment and areas included in efforts to promote accountability and transparency of government performance and overall improvement.
