UAE stars Shaiman and Mustafa shine, alongside bowlers, with match-winning spells

-

The best four teams consisting of top Twenty20 specialists in domestic cricket have reached the semi-finals of the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Club organised Ramadan Bash T20 tournament.

This tournament, which was contested by 32 teams, is the biggest among the Ramadan tournaments in the UAE. Due to the overwhelming numbers, it is being completed only after Eid.

The teams that reached the semi-finals are Advantage Motors, Willows CC, Chargers CC and Welkin Warriors.

In the first quarter-finals, a four-wicket haul from Shafaqat Ali ensured Advantage Motors LLC got past Multiplex International by five wickets.

Willows Cricket Club defeated TNS Group LLC by nine runs because of Fahad Tariq who took three crucial wickets and hit 37 runs.

Chargers Club beat Tea Junction Fanatics because of a 14-ball quickfire knock of 45 runs and Junaid Kaka and Fawad Gafoor’s fine threewicket spells.

Welkin Warrior stopped Malik Contracting LLC because of UAE’s World Cup star Shaimon Anwar’s quick 45 and Mozamel Rizwan’s impressive threewicket spell.

One of the reasons that these four team have reached the semi-final stage is their consistent performers. UAE allrounder Rohan Mustafa, who is in tremendous form this season, hit 45 runs in Advantage Motors’s five-wicket win over Multiplex.
