New Islamabad airport to be ready next year
The
New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA), which can host A-380, the world’s biggest passenger aircraft, will be fully operational by June 2017.
The scheduled date of completion of all construction work for the project is December 25, the Daily Times reported yesterday.
The first green-field airport in Pakistan, it is being constructed near Fateh Jang, some 20 km from Islamabad and 23 km from Rawalpindi. The airport will have 90 check-in counters among other facilities. (IANS)
