Father of Muslim soldier killed in action dares Trump

-

Democratic Party’s presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Thursday night criticised her Republican rival Donald Trump over picture frames he sells under his brand but sourced from India. In her speech accepting the party nomination on Thursday night, one of her many criticisms of Trump was that while he has said he would bring back jobs to the US through a policy of Make in America, his own products were made abroad. One of the products she cited were Trump picture frames made in India.

Aspeech by the Muslim father of a UAE born fallen soldier at the Democratic National Convention has gone viral.

Khizr Khan (pictured with his wife) challenged Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rhetoric, while reminding him of the sacrifice made by his son US Army Captain Humayun Khan.

At one point, Khizr Khan waved a copy of the US Constitution and questioned if Trump had even read it. When a vehicle packed with explosives approached his compound in Iraq in 2004, Humayun instructed his men to seek cover as he approached it. It exploded, killing him instantly. He was awarded the Bronze Star posthumously. “If it was up to Donald Trump, [Humayun] never would have been in America,” Khan said. “Donald Trump consistently smears the character of Muslims. He disrespects other minorities, women, judges, even his own party leadership. He vows to build walls and ban us from this country.”

“Donald Trump,” he said, “you are asking Americans to trust you with our future. Let me ask you: Have you even read the US Constitution? I will gladly lend you my copy.” He pulled a copy of the statute from his pocket. “In this document, look for the words ‘liberty’ and ‘equal protection of law.’” He added: “Have you ever been to Arlington Cemetery? Go look at the graves of the brave patriots who died defending America — you will see all faiths, genders, and ethnicities. You have sacrificed nothing. And no one.”
