According to the page A2 report, ‘WhatsApp under fire for Facebook tie-up’, published in the From the cover section of Gulf News on August 29, you can customise the privacy policy by unchecking a box to stop the exchange.
Nearly seven out of 10 respondents said they don’t read the fine print. It’s clearly time to start paying attention.
Earlier this year WhatsApp released its new encryption feature, giving users greater privacy. However, with this recent announcement, they are violating their own privacy policy. Client information will soon be given to Facebook for targeted advertising and finding more Facebook friends.
