Doha airport adds $10 passenger levy

Hamad International Airport, the base of Qatar Airways, is adding a 35 Qatari riyal ($10; Dh35) for all passengers departing the airport.

The Passenger Facility Charge will apply to all departing and transferring passengers on tickets issued from August 30 for travel from December 1, a statement said on Sunday. Children without a seat that are under the age of two, passengers connecting on the same aircraft and those who have been involuntarily rerouted will be exempted, the statement said. (Staff Report)
