Christoph Waltz in talks for movie role

Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz is in talks to star in filmmaker James Cameron’s

Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez will be directing the ambitious adaptation of the popular manga series.

If a deal is made, Waltz would join Rosa Salazar in the movie, with Salazar portraying a 26th-century cyborg who is rescued from a scrapyard and reassembled, reports variety. com.

In the film, Salazar’s character, Alita, who only remembers her training in a deadly martial art, becomes a hunter-warrior who tracks down vicious criminals.

And if Waltz says yes to the role, he would play Doctor Dyson Ido, the cybersurgeon who finds the cyborg and becomes her mentor.
