VICE-PRESIDENT PRAISES PROGRESS OF NATIONAL HAPPINESS AND POSITIVITY PROGRAMME
The UAE has reinforced the values of happiness and positivity and turned hopes and ambitions into real achievements to ensure the welfare and happiness of its people and a better future for them.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made these remarks yesterday during a meeting with some 60 chief executives of happiness and positivity at local and federal government bodies.
The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, placed the stability and welfare of the UAE’s society on the top of its priorities, Shaikh Mohammad said.
“The government will achieve and build on that through leading a comprehensive process across all sectors and fields and adopting Happiness Meters based on state-ofthe-art scientific principles so as to build a happy and positive society,” he said.
Shaikh Mohammad praised the progress made in the implementation of the National happiness and Positivity Programme. “We believe that the happiness of the UAE people is a sustainable and renewable wealth and a positive indication of their solidarity. We also believe that the government’s functions are to establish enabling environments to build their peoples and harness everything possible to develop and sharpen their skills,” Shaikh Mohammad pointed out.
“A positive and successful leader is one who raises the morale of his team, and makes the workplace happy and positive. A fulfilled employee will make the customer happy and will contribute positively to his colleagues and to building a happy society,” he said.
Shaikh Mohammad was accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Lt Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, as well as other senior officials.
Shaikh Mohammad also met a group of pupils who shared their views about the the National happiness and Positivity Programme and its future in the country.
Thousands of students took part in formulating the main features of the national programme as their ideas and thoughts were utilized in designing the programme lively and optimistic slogan.
