Inmate seeks early release to get parents out of Aleppo

Murder convict who served 12 years of life sentence tells court he memorised the Quran

Having served more than 12 years, he filed a special plea before the Dubai Court of First Instance’s presiding judge Urfan Omar seeking early release on grounds of good conduct and having memorised the Quran in full while serving his jail term in Dubai Central Jail.

The convict told the court that he is his parents’ only hope to help them out of what he described as “their miserable and desperate situation”.

He provided the court with a letter from the jail management confirming that he had memorised the Quran.
