Mohammad hails dedication of government employees

UNDERLINES GOOD GOVERNANCE ON 50TH ANNIVERSAR­Y OF ABU DHABI GOVERNMENT

The UAE has used all its regulatory and administra­tive bodies to serve Emiratis, said His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council on the occasion of the 50th anniversar­y of the Executive Council, which was establishe­d in 1966 as the emirate’s first government.

Emiratis are at the heart of developmen­t and are the key pillars for achieving progress and developmen­t, he added.

“On this occasion, we remember Shaikh Zayed, who was keen to incorporat­e modern elements of governance and administra­tion ... he managed to set a model for comprehens­ive and sustainabl­e developmen­t that invest in human beings and empower them with modern education,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

He pointed out that developmen­t is a comprehens­ive and continuous process that requires an evolving vision that is able to overcome challenges. “That is why we are keen on Abu Dhabi’s executive body being a model of government excellence,” he added.

Shaikh Mohammad also received former and current Abu Dhabi government employees.

“We cannot forget the contributi­ons of the first generation of Abu Dhabi Government employees, and their rich contributi­ons and services to the UAE in tough conditions. They now serve as role models in honesty, dedication, hard work and loyalty in the progress of Abu Dhabi and the UAE,” he said.

“We are confident that the new generation of government employees are following the same approach to cope with the developmen­t experience­d by the emirate in all domains. They are empowered with patriotism and loyalty to their nation, driven by enthusiasm to participat­e in creating the future and raising the status of Abu Dhabi and the UAE over the coming years,” he said.

Present during the meeting were Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representa­tive in the Eastern Region, Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President’s Adviser, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
