Police recover looted money and valuables
Police
have cracked a burglary case here with the arrest of two men who stole diamonds, gold jewellery and British currency from a NonResident Indian’s house.
The crime was committed in Indirapuram on October 19 when house owner, J.P. Gupta, who lives in Britain, was on a holiday in India, police official Deepak Kumar said.
When the Guptas were away, their cook and driver escaped with virtually all their belongings. This included household goods worth Rs6 million (Dh329,364) and £5,500 (Dh24,645) and Rs475,000 cash. (IANS)
