Desert Park for families of police

Sharjah Police on Sunday opened a Desert Park exclusivel­y for its employees and their families.

Located about 40km from Sharjah towards Maliha Road, the park spread over 800 square metres in Al Kaheef area of Al Bataah aims to strengthen bonds among police employees and their families in order to build motivation.

The park includes a play area for children, bikes, and a small zoo where kids get to pet and feed sheep, goats and camels. There is also a football pitch and a volleyball court apart from restaurant­s and picnic facilities.

It also has a majlis for men and women and a musallah (praying zone).

The opening was attended by Brigadier Saif Ziri Al Shamsi, Chief of Sharjah Police, Brigadier Khalifa Al Merri, director of Sharjah Punitive Establishm­ents Department, and other officials.
