Weapons seized in Islamabad police swoop

police on Sunday conducted a search operation in the Lohi Bher area and recovered a huge cache of weapons from suspects, a police spokesman said.

As part of the National Action Plan, officers from the police, Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operations in various areas of Lohi Bher — including Soan Gardens, PWD, Hiran Mir and others.

The operation covered 150 houses. Five suspects including an Afghan national were arrested, and a huge cache of weapons recovered, the spokesman said. (APP)
