The 27th edition of Index Design Series Interiors Festival kicked off yesterday showcasing surfacing solutions, design solutions, and trends in furnishing.

The event was inaugurated by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, who also inaugurated the co-located Middle East Stone Show, now in its third year.

Together with Middle East Covering, which is currently taking place alongside Index, the shows are expected to attract over 30,000 visitors, and see the participation of more than 1,100 exhibitors. The shows run until Thursday.

“The region’s recent history of infrastructure, hospitality, residential, and retail development is once again pushing on. With ambitious national growth set for the Gulf across the next 10 to 15 years, being able to source the finest materials and products to help build and furnish these mega projects is vital for the region’s construction and design leaders. The Index Design series and Middle East Stone are here to meet that requirement,” said Tony Crinion, DMG Events Design Portfolio Director.

At the shows, Middle East Covering will showcase a range of surface solutions for flooring, walls, and interior products, while workspace will showcase the future of office environments. At Middle East Stone, the Stone Conference will discuss a range of topics from global trend perspectives to sustainability.
