Three tourists, including two brothers, have been accused of taking a drunk woman from a nightclub to their hotel room and gang-raping her.

The 33-year-old Moroccan woman was allegedly out drinking with her female friend in January when she accepted the three Saudi men’s invitation to go to their hotel room.

According to records, the brothers and their friend told the woman that they had liquor and they could go and continue drinking in their hotel room.

Once they reached the room, the men and the woman started drinking. The woman sat down beside one of the men in the bedroom before the trio took turns at her. When the men left the room, the woman grabbed her phone wanting to call the police but she claimed the trio soon returned to the room, pushed her away and took away her phone.

Records said the woman called the reception and asked them to call the police.

The suspects pleaded not guilty and denied the charges against them when they appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance yesterday. They dismissed the woman’s claims and contended before presiding judge Fahd Al Shamsi that they had consensual sex with her.
