Hope Makers programme to air during Ramadan
The Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has announced that the Hope Makers television programme will be showcased during Ramadan.
The show will be aired on MBC, and will highlight 30 stories of giving in the Arab world. The show’s premise covers the stories of individuals throughout the Arab world who have made considerable contributions to effect change within their societies and bring about hope in difficult environments.
Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, and Secretary-General of the MBRGI, said, “Hope gives our youth strength, stability, progress and prosperity to overcome negativity and despair. His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has always believed in the power of hope, wherein it has the ability to move societies forward,” he added.
Hope Makers aims to honour these exceptional individuals, affording them well-deserved recognition, as well as awarding a prize to the winner, which has the potential to truly transform initiatives taking place in the fields of volunteerism, education, health, media and social activism.
