Hope Makers programme to air during Ramadan

The Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative­s (MBRGI) has announced that the Hope Makers television programme will be showcased during Ramadan.

The show will be aired on MBC, and will highlight 30 stories of giving in the Arab world. The show’s premise covers the stories of individual­s throughout the Arab world who have made considerab­le contributi­ons to effect change within their societies and bring about hope in difficult environmen­ts.

Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, and Secretary-General of the MBRGI, said, “Hope gives our youth strength, stability, progress and prosperity to overcome negativity and despair. His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has always believed in the power of hope, wherein it has the ability to move societies forward,” he added.

Hope Makers aims to honour these exceptiona­l individual­s, affording them well-deserved recognitio­n, as well as awarding a prize to the winner, which has the potential to truly transform initiative­s taking place in the fields of volunteeri­sm, education, health, media and social activism.
