Mixed luck for GMCA in Sharjah Summer Cup

Ruwaid cracks century in Inter Globe Marine’s win in second match

It was mixed luck for GM Cricket Academy in the Sharjah Summer Cup 2017 organised by Sharjah Cricket Club.

They recorded a close 11-run victory over Singh Diesel while in another match they lost by 39 runs to Inter Globe Marine.

In the first match, GM Academy made a good start with openers Asghar Khan and Qasim Mustafa posting 111 runs for the opening wicket in just over 10 overs.

Mustafa’s contributi­on was 34 runs, while Asghar cracked 72 runs. Rehman slammed five sixes during his 13-ball 38 and helped GM Cricket Academy post 206 for nine in 20 overs. Singh Diesel made a strong start as Naseeb

Inter Globe Marine bt GM Cricket Academy by 39 runs.

InterGlobe Marine: 199 for 2 in 20 overs (Ruwaid Khan 101, Touqeer Riyasat 31, Previn Achuthan 21,). GM Cricket Academy: 160 for 8 in 20 overs (Asghar Khan 30, Khurram Shahzad 70, Rahul Neelesh Bhatia 26n.o; Gopakumar Gopalakris­hnan 3 for 9). Man of the match: Ruwaid Khan. Khan hitting 86 runs with five boundaries and as many sixes.but folded up at 195 for five in 20 overs.

In Inter Globe Marine’s victory over GM Cricket Academy, Ruwaid Khan hit 101 to help them post 199 for 2 in 20 overs. In reply GM Cricket Academy managed 160 for 8 in 20 overs.
