Meet SRK, Anushka in the UAE

The Bollywood stars will be in the UAE to promote their latest films ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’

This summer promises to be a scorcher for UAE fans of Shah Rukh Khan, as the actor is scheduled to fly into the country for a two-day promotiona­l blitzkrieg for his film Jab Harry Met Sejal.

The actor will be in Dubai on Saturday and Sunday, with a scheduled stopover in Abu Dhabi to meet fans at a mall event. Joining Khan on his UAE adventure will be co-star Anushka Sharma and film director Imtiaz Ali. Speaking to tabloid!, Nelson D’Souza, head of operations, Mena, Yash Raj Films, said: “Shah Rukh Khan commands one of the biggest fan followings for in Bollywood, so we planned a two-day event around him, with a brief stopover in Abu Dhabi as well.”

The stars will be staying at the Palazzo Versace during their visit, with a fan opportunit­y to site Khan and Sharma as they visit Vox Cinemas, Deira City Centre at 2pm on Saturday. While the scheduled press event will be a closed doors affair, a media red carpet will allow fans to interact with the duo and Ali.

Those in the capital can make their way over to Dalma Mall around 6pm on the same day, where Khan, Sharma and Ali will also interact with fans at Cine Royal.

And just went you thought the day’s agenda couldn’t get any busier, the trio will probably schedule in a quick costume change before heading over to Dubai’s Cavalli Club for a midnight rendezvous with party revellers.

The second day of their promotiona­l tour will see Khan and Sharma conduct media interviews and meet winners of the various Jab Harry Met Sejal competitio­ns.

Several competitio­ns, including one run by Vox Cinemas on its digital platform, will allow fans the opportunit­y to meet Khan and Sharma.

The movie releases on August 3 across UAE cinemas.
