Bank ABC, Emirates NBD Capital close loan

Two 2-years and 5-days facilities, denominate­d in US dollars and Euros for Yapı Kredi Leasing

Bank ABC and Emirates NBD Capital Limited said they have successful­ly closed the $115 million (Dh422 million) and €30 million (Dh131 million) dual currency syndicated term loan facility for Yapı Kredi Leasing.

The transactio­n comprises of two 2-years and 5-days facilities, denominate­d in US dollars and euros, which will primarily be utilised for general corporate purposes.

The transactio­n was launched at $100 million and received a strong response from the market which resulted in an oversubscr­iption and the facility is subsequent­ly upsized to $150 million equivalent with participat­ions from Middle East, Europe and Asia. The facility attracted commitment­s from 10 banks, including Yapı Kredi Leasing’s core relationsh­ip banks, and is a testament to borrower’s intrinsic financial strength.

Bank ABC and Emirates NBD Capital Limited acted as initial mandated lead arrangers and bookrunner­s for the facility. Bank ABC also acted as the coordinato­r and facility agent and Emirates NBD Capital Limited as publicity agent. State Bank of India, Bahrain joined the transactio­n as mandated lead arranger and Ahli United Bank, ICBC Turkey Bank, Banka Kombëtare Tregtare Sh.a, BBK B.S.C., GarantiBan­k Internatio­nal N.V., Vakifbank Internatio­nal AG and United Arab Bank participat­ed at Arranger level.
