‘My new emoji wish list’

Residents share their favourite emojis and what they would like to see added to the list

SAHITYA SHETTY, Indian Favourite emojis:

“I use emojis very often. In fact, the majority of my comments on Instagram are either solely emojis, or consist of them. Emojis do all the talking.”

New emojis:

The three-finger salute invented and popularise­d by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. Much cooler than a simple thumbs-up.”

ALEX LE CHEF, French-Syrian Favourite emojis:

“I tend to use emojis a lot when texting. I feel that emojis help convey emotions better, and especially difficult sentiments.”

Something that conveys disappoint­ment aptly. Another one would be which conveys the line, ‘He’s on fire!’
