Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards recognises continuous improvement
Emirates Group Security and Transguard have cemented their industry leadership position by clinching two accolades at the 16th edition of the prestigious Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards (SKEA).
The awards were presented by Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, during a ceremony at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Emirates Group Security was awarded the Gold Category while Transguard bagged the Silver Category award. Both organisations won this award for the first time.
Instituted in 1999, the Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards recognise organisations in the UAE that have invested in continuous improvement of their business processes to boost performance and the overall competitiveness of the UAE business environment. The awards use the European Foundation for Quality Management (EQFM) framework to evaluate organisations under a number of parameters including performance, leadership and customer service.
Dr Abdullah Al Hashimi, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates Group Security said in part: “Emirates Group Security and Transguard have a strong focus on delivering results for our internal and external customers. We have used the European Foundation for Quality Management framework to roll out a process of continuous business improvement based on sustainability. We also aspire to be thought leaders in our areas of operations looking at innovative ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.”
