Emirates group security and Transguard honoured

Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards recognises continuous improvemen­t

Emirates Group Security and Transguard have cemented their industry leadership position by clinching two accolades at the 16th edition of the prestigiou­s Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards (SKEA).

The awards were presented by Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, during a ceremony at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Emirates Group Security was awarded the Gold Category while Transguard bagged the Silver Category award. Both organisati­ons won this award for the first time.

Instituted in 1999, the Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards recognise organisati­ons in the UAE that have invested in continuous improvemen­t of their business processes to boost performanc­e and the overall competitiv­eness of the UAE business environmen­t. The awards use the European Foundation for Quality Management (EQFM) framework to evaluate organisati­ons under a number of parameters including performanc­e, leadership and customer service.

Dr Abdullah Al Hashimi, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates Group Security said in part: “Emirates Group Security and Transguard have a strong focus on delivering results for our internal and external customers. We have used the European Foundation for Quality Management framework to roll out a process of continuous business improvemen­t based on sustainabi­lity. We also aspire to be thought leaders in our areas of operations looking at innovative ways to enhance efficiency and effectiven­ess.”
