Chief justice: No room for judicial martial law
Chief
Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has said that democracy will not be allowed to be derailed in the country and there is no room for a judicial martial law in the constitution.
“No unconstitutional step will be accepted. If good rulers come, they change the destiny of the country. A judge must dispense justice without discrimination. Justice should be manifestly seen to be done in the country,” he said while addressing a ceremony at Cathedral Church in Lahore yesterday on Pakistan Day. (Online)
