The luxury hotel will be the company’s first in Ras Al Khaimah

Emaar will launch the company’s first hotel and residences project in Ras Al Khaimah with the Address Al Marjan Island, according to chairman Mohammad Al Abbar, speaking at the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (Ahic).

Al Abbar said that the 249 room resort would be built on the four-island mega-development Views, and would be managed by Emaar Hospitality Group’s luxury hotel brand, Address Hotels and Resorts.

This marks the first expansion of the Address brand to Ras Al Khaimah, and the first development venture by Emaar Development in the emirate.

According to a statement from Emaar, the Address Residences Al Marjan Island will comprise 234 high-end apartments.

In a statement, Al Abbar said: “With its positive economic growth and focus on strengthening the tourism and investment landscape, Ras Al Khaimah has recorded robust growth in visitor arrivals and in attracting inward investments … which offers an ideal destination for us to showcase our competencies in hospitality, residential, retail and leisure developments.”

The announcement of Address Al Marjan Island follows a MoU signed by Emaar in December last year to develop 2 million square feet mixeduse projects including highend residential, hospitality and retail components on Al Marjan Island.

Emaar Hospitality Group most recently announced its expansion to Sharjah with a management agreement to operate three hotels in Aljada, a 24 million square foot integrated lifestyle destination.
