Politicians in trouble –

In India, the governor of the state of Tamil Nadu was forced to issue an apology after being caught patting a journalist’s cheek after she asked him questions at a press conference. Another Indian politician, Biplab Deb, who is the Chief Minister of the state of Tripura, inadvertently started the trend ##Internet-Mahabharata after claiming that the internet and satellite communication existed in ancient India.

@lakhinathan:

This, moments after he dismissed a barrage of questions about allegations of sexual misconduct against himself. Unprofessional behaviour – and completely uncalled for to touch a stranger without her consent, especially a woman.

Lanka Deepa:

In India, You need 200 Journalists to remind a Governer that he can’t pat a reporter on the cheek.

Paarijaat Chandra Nandan:

Iam not sure about the entire details of the incident but I don’t think this warrants so much outrage. There is a beautiful thing in our culture about people bonding across ages which needs not be violated. This is idiocy, this is feminism gone wrong.

@sandhy-aravishan:

Innocent maybe but no touching without consent. Would you like your family members to be touched without consent?

MoniCa Singh:

Tomorrow, female blackout from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. It’s a movement to show what the world might be like without women. Your profile photo should just be a black square so that men wonder where the women are.

@sanjivbhatt:

Biplab Deb, the BJP Chief Minister of Tripura, promoting Digital India.

@TayeebKashem:

Not USA or Western Countries but Biplab Deb claims it’s India invented Internet.

@prashaanth_90:

A pen drive unearthed from the battle field of mahabharatha... #Internet-Mahabharata
