Circumstances of the 28-yearold superstar DJ’s death will remain confidential at the request of the family
The sudden death of Swedish DJ Avicii in Muscat on Friday has not been considered suspicious, an Omani police source has said, adding that the circumstances would remain confidential at the request of the family.
“Two autopsies were carried out, one yesterday and one today and we absolutely confirmed that there is no criminal suspicion in the death,” the source with Oman’s Royal Police said on Saturday, speaking on condition of anonymity.
“We have all the information and details regarding the death and this incident,” the source said, adding that police would not be making any public statement on the case.

His biggest hits included Wake Me Up, which went to number one across Europe in 2013 and featured the soul singer Aloe Blacc.
But he had made no secret of his health problems, including pancreatitis, triggered in part by excessive drinking linked to his party lifestyle.
In 2016, Avicii stunned fans by announcing his retirement when he was just 26.
