An eight-year-old Romanian girl was overjoyed when Dubai Police organised a surprise birthday party for her at the police academy museum.

Alexandra’s mother had emailed Dubai Police asking if they could organise a birthday party for her daughter since the little Dubai resident couldn’t stop expressing her admiration for Dubai Police when talking to family or friends.

Officials promptly promised to surprise Alexandra.

Brigadier Abdul Raheem Bin Shafee, director of Al Barsha police station, said: “We linked up with her mother and her classmates, sent a police patrol to her school and took her to the police academy. We surprised her with a cake and party after we decorated the museum for her.”

Police brought Alexandra’s classmates in a bus to the venue. Alexandra stepped out of the police car carrying flowers presented by a policewoman before walking into the museum.

She was taken by surprise to see a cake with her name on it and the Dubai Police band playing a birthday song. She also received a gift.

“We organised a special cake for her carrying the Dubai Police logo. It was a joyful atmosphere as she celebrated her birthday with family, friends and police,” Brig Bin Shafee said.

Alexandra’s mother expressed her gratitude to Dubai Police for the gesture.
