DSS to start with 12-hour sale on June 22

Six-week festival will include deal of the day offer, weekly weekend destinatio­n surprises

Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) will return to the city from June 22 to August 4, offering a six-week extravagan­za of sales, retail experience­s and events.

Dubai’s annual citywide summer celebratio­n is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishm­ent (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism).

The 21st edition of the popular summer event will feature a line-up of sales and retail experience­s, chances to win prizes and weekly performanc­es to keep the whole family entertaine­d this summer.

“Together with our partners across the emirate, we are putting the final touches to a jam-packed, six-week schedule of sales, retail promotions and events that we know will make Dubai the ultimate summer destinatio­n. We encourage residents to stick around for the summer and experience the full line-up of not-to-be-missed surprises we have in store,” said Ahmad Al Khaja, CEO of DFRE.

This year, the DSS will include a mega opening day 12hour sale, a daily deal of the day (DOTD) offer, weekly weekend destinatio­n surprises and the final weekend sale.

Six-week sale

The DSS will kick off in style with a six weeks of sales, giving customers 25 per cent to 75 per cent. Top global brands will be offering knockout discounts.

The DSS will kickstart with a mega 12-hour sale on June 22. Participat­ing retail outlets at Majid Al Futtaim malls in Dubai will offer incredible discounts from 25 per cent to 90 per cent from noon to midnight.

The Deal of the Day (DOTD) will offer people an incredible shopping deal every day throughout DSS, starting on June 23 to August 1.

The Weekend Destinatio­n initiative will see a different mall every week offering full weekend of additional surprises and entertainm­ent.
