36 Al Houthis killed along Red Sea coast

MILITIA RANKS COLLAPSING AS YEMENI FORCES ADVANCE TOWARDS HODEIDA

-

Thirty-six members of the Iranian-backed Al Houthi militia, including their leader, were killed during confrontations with the Yemeni National Resistance Forces on different fronts in Yemen’s Red Sea coast.

The confrontations between the Yemeni Resistance Forces and Al Houthi militia centred around the Taif, Al Husayniyah and Tahita areas.

The Resistance Forces were able to clear pockets of the militias in the liberated areas and removed the mines planted by the coup perpetrators.

The militia ranks are collapsing as the Yemeni Forces advance towards the city and port of Hodeida with the ultimate goal of foiling the Iranian coup plans in Yemen.

On Friday, backed by the UAE Armed Forces, the Yemeni Resistance Forces made significant advances towards Al Madmen area, of Tahita district. In addition, 10 rebels were killed in clashes with the Yemeni Forces east of Al Faza area, south of Hodeida, following a failed infiltration attempt by the coup perpetrators on the coastline.

The coalition accuses Al Houthis of using Hodeida as a launch pad for attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and for smuggling in rockets. Al Houthis have in recent months ramped up missile attacks against neighbouring Saudi Arabia.

UAE’s Ramadan projects

Meanwhile, apart from being involved in major relief efforts following Cyclone Mekunu, the UAE has continued to revive major and vital Yemeni sectors, by launching initiatives to boost the health, infrastructure and education sectors, as well various Ramadan projects for the daily delivery of thousands of meals to fasting Muslims across the country.

The UAE through the Emirates Red Crescent has continued to support people in Yemen’s liberated areas through its various development programmes while providing emergency relief and humanitarian assistance wherever required.
