His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has said the ‘Strategy of Resolve’ announced by Saudi Arabia and the UAE is a historic cohesive step towards the future for both countries.

Shaikh Mohammad made the comments on his Twitter account yesterday following the announcement of a joint vision for economic, developmental and military integration through 44 joint strategic projects by the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council.

“The UAE’s and Saudi Arabia’s announcement of a joint vision for economic, developmental and military integration through 44 joint strategic projects is a historic opportunity to create an exceptional model of Arab integration, a model that can be replicated to achieve developmental leaps for peoples,” Shaikh Mohammad tweeted.

“Saudi Arabia and the UAE through their Coordination Council led by Mohammad Bin Salman and Mohammad Bin Zayed along with 350 officials from the two countries embark on a new era in the history of the region to create a new developmental and economic movement that will be a springboard for the economy of the entire region,” he tweeted.

The council’s vision aims to promote the two countries’ global stature in areas of economy, human development, and political, security and military integration as well as ensuring welfare and happiness for their people.

Established under an agreement between the two countries reached in May 2016 under the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the council stands as a role model for cooperation between world countries and, in the meantime, consolidates joint action between GCC states.

The announcement of the strategy came during the first meeting of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council on Wednesday chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
