LuLu promotes reusable bags on World Environment Day
Company will give 1,000 complimentary reusable bags to its shoppers
LuLu Hypermarket, in partnership with Tadweer, also known as the Centre of Waste Management Abu Dhabi, kicked off a four-day campaign entitled “Refuse. Reduce. Reuse” to raise awareness on caring for nature and promote the benefits of utilising reusable bags in commemoration of World Environment Day on Tuesday. Each day, an academic institution will be leading different activities for the entire campaign on providing a cleaner environment and promoting sustainable development.
LuLu announced that it will be giving 1,000 complimentary reusable bags to its shoppers during the campaign.
LuLu Group chairman and managing director Yousuf Ali M.A. pointed to the support of the group in making significant actions for nature and society.
“We support the advocacy that caring for nature is a great and meaningful way to provide a greener and better world for the future of the next generation,” he said.
“The launch of this reusable bag is a little act of kindness for the earth for refusing, reducing, and re-using plastics, but we, at LuLu, know that it will be definitely bring a much larger impact when actively done by the hands of many.
“We firmly believe that shopping smartly with this reusable bag will help reduce waste for the betterment of the environment.”
