The 19-year-old has a bachelor’s degree in Double Maths and Computer Science from Fazaia Degree College and believes there is no reason an athlete cannot excel in both sports and studies. “It’s possible to do well in both as long as you have a goal in mind. After all, my college was the first platform to demonstrate my sporting skills,” Ahsan said.
He credits his success to his family, teachers as well as friends and mentors from Pakistan, US and Spain. “It was never just an individual effort. I am indebted to my parents, siblings, teachers, the Pakistan Squash Federation and my official sponsor Magnus Sports (Pakistan’s first global sports agency) for the trust and support that has shaped me into who I am,” he said.

Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, Alauddin Marri, chaired a highlevel meeting at the Secretariat Office to ensure the upcoming general elections are held in a transparent manner.
At the meeting, shortage of water in Gwadar was also discussed, while many other important decisions were made.
Chief Secretary Balochistan, Dr Akhtar Nazeer gave a briefing on various issues including election arrangements, registered voters, polling stations, DRO, ROR and AR deployment and other election programmes.
He said that 29,000 election staff, including polling officers and assistant polling officers had completed training and 4,558 senior presiding officers would be given training soon.
Secretary Interior Ghulam Baloch briefed the cabinet on different issues including restoration of polling stations, installation of CCTV cameras, electoral staff, transport and security for election personnel at the sensitive polling stations.
The cabinet expressed satisfaction in this regard and noted all the political parties were participating in the elections.
