Yoga is a lifestyle choice that works towards attaining a sound mind as well as a healthy body. Workout trends come and go, but no other form of exercise is as stable as yoga. The practice has been around for over 5,000 years.

Under yoga training, one performs all kinds of stretching and strengthening poses, including deep breathing, relaxation and meditation. Yoga is an allinclusive workout that focuses on both mind and body. The benefits of yoga can be seen in all walks of life, be it health promotion, disease prevention, education, management of lifestyle and more.

It helps in reliving negativity and toxins from our body, and many people vouch for it. It helps to reduce stress levels and increase awareness. It benefits people of all ages. According to experts, yoga helps to build concentration and enhance focus, especially in children.

These days, people think of doing pushups, planks, sit-ups, and other exercises to keep their bodies fit and healthy, however, no one thinks of practicing yoga to remain healthy.

But today, yoga is practised all over the world because of the various initiatives taken by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

To promote yoga as part of a school curriculum, it was made a module by the National Council for Teacher Education. On the International Day of Yoga, celebrated on June 21, people all around the world came together to practice the form of exercise. Yoga when combined with meditation has the power to help better one’s intuitive skills. If practiced daily, yoga can contribute to a positive lifestyle.
