Principal and son accused of sexually assaulting Bihar girl
Two other teachers also allegedly raped Grade 9 student during her 7-month ordeal
Agang rape victim in Bihar has alleged that she was also sexually assaulted by a school principal and his son, and subsequently threatened with dire consequences if she reported the matter to anyone.
The Grade 9 student, a resident of Parsagarh village in Saran district, made the shocking revelations in her written statements to police, who are now investigating the case.
According to the victim, she had a chance encounter with the school principal Uday Singh and two schoolteachers as she was coming out of the toilet after being gang-raped by schoolmates who included the minor son of the principal.
“On seeing my traumatic expressions and blood stains on my uniforms, the principal called me inside his chamber where I narrated the entire incident to him. Instead of summoning the accused and taking action, he cautioned me not to reveal it to anyone and made me wash the blood stains in his personal washroom before asking me to leave for home,” according to her statement.
Father’s return
As per her statement, when she arrived at the school after 10 days, the principal summoned her to his official chamber and raped her, threatening to ruin her career if she dared to reveal it to anyone. Later, two more schoolteachers also allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Her ordeal began in December last year and continued until last week when she reported the matter to her father after he returned home from jail. He had been arrested in a case involving a dispute.
It was only then that the case could be registered against the accused.
According to the victim, initially she was gang-raped in the school lavatory by three students who even made a video of the entire incident.
Using the video, the accused persons allegedly began blackmailing her and also forced her to have sex with 12 other students of the school. Eventually, the school principal and two teachers also sexually assaulted, during an ordeal that lasted seven months.
Police have arrested six people, including the school principal, in connection with the case while raids are on to nab the absconding accused.
“No culprit will be spared,” local District Superintendent of Police Hari Kishore Rai told the journalists. He added the raids were being conducted to confiscate all the cell phones on which videos of gang-rape were shared.
