Exclusive indoor games and activities are currently open to children at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi. Families can get their children registered for the Summer Kids Camp at the club to enjoy activities like football, bowling, Zumba, swimming, shooting, life skills, martial arts, arts and crafts, team building, basketball and field trips.

Ahmad Al Nuwaimi, 8, who tried his hand at bowling, said: “It has some many different games and a cinema theatre where we can watch movies.”

All activities are held in airconditioned and secure facilities. The club also provides transportation and lunch at its restaurant. Parents don’t have to worry about their kids as the club bus picks children up at their homes and brings them back. Before bringing them back, a bus attendant calls their parents to inform them of the arrival of the bus.

Ahmad Ali Mohammad Al Nuwaimi, 8, said, “I like football, cinema and bowling. It’s more fun at the club. It has so many activities to do. My mother brings me here each day.”

Alessandro Rodrigues, the 38-year-old Brazilian instructor at the boxing section, said, “I train them in self-defence, boxing, acrobatics and different kinds of exercises.

Saif Ali, 7, said: “My sister and I joined activities at the club for the first time and we both enjoy swimming, bowling and the cinema.”

Children start at 9am and return home by 2.30pm. The camp for children ages 5 to 12 started on July 8 and will end on August 9.
