Free parking for six days in Dubai for Eid

Dubai Metro will run till 2am from August 20 to August 25 while tram will operate till 1am

Parking at all paid parking zones will be free across the Dubai from August 19 to August 24 to mark the Eid Al Adha festival, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced yesterday. However, regular tariff will apply through the Eid holidays at all RTA-operated multi-level parking terminals.

The RTA also announced timings for all its transport services and customer service centres during the holidays, including public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport, and centres of service providers (technical testing).

During the holidays, Dubai Metro will operate till 2am from August 20 to August 25, and trams will operate till 1am during the same period.

Bus services

Among the main bus stations, Gold Souq station will operate from 4.25am to 12.29am and Al Ghubaiba station will be open for service from 4.14am to 12.33am.

Among the subsidiary stations, Satwa station will operate from 5am to 11pm except for Route C01, which will be operating round the clock.

Al Ghusais bus station will open at 5am and operate till 11.45pm, Al Quoz Industrial station will operate from 5am to 11.35pm and Jebel Ali station will be serving from 5am to 11.30pm.

All Metro feeder bus services will be running from 5am to 2.10am (of the following day). The timing of all metro feeder buses is synchronis­ed with the timing of the metro service.

Intercity bus services between Al Ghubaiba bus station and Sharjah’s Al Jubail station will continue to run round the clock, while services from other stations to Sharjah will operate on their usual timing. The intercity services between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will run from 4.40am to midnight.
