Here’s what all you can do in the UAE this Eid Al Adha

Guides gives you a long list of events and festivitie­s during the holiday

Eid Al Adha falls on August 21 in the UAE and holidays have been announced for both public and private sector employees. The private sector holidays are from August 21 to August 23 and we have a whole bunch of offers, deals and events for residents to enjoy Eid in the country, along with more than five firework displays.

Drumming at Al Ghurair

Al Ghurair Centre will host a Drum Fest this Eid — an African drumming session with a group of four artists performing and parading all across the mall dressed up in traditiona­l African attire.

Ferrari World

Guests of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will be able to enjoy a unique set of culturally inspired celebratio­ns from August 22 to 26, including a ‘Cultural Maze’, encounters with the park’s perfume maker and fishermen in the Heritage Village and a theatrical storytelli­ng experience.

Yas Waterworld

At Yas Waterworld guests can experience authentic Emirati culture with performanc­es from local drummers and Ayalah dancers, in addition to all-day access to over 40 thrilling rides, slides and attraction­s. This includes a 5D water adventure, Cinesplash. Yas Marina will celebrate the first three days of Eid with a spectacula­r fireworks show at 9pm.

Madinat Jumeirah

Take a romantic abra tour making stops for delicious food as you go about — dine at The Hide, Zheng He’s and Tortuga. This gastronomi­c abra journey costs Dh888 per couple.

Kids zone at Outlet Village

Creating a fun-filled atmosphere, the action-packed agenda ■ at The Outlet Village for Eid Al Adha will feature a unique kids zone with giant indoor games including a larger-than-life jenga, snakes and ladders, xoxo and Kerplunk. The compliment­ary kids zone will be open from 3pm to 9pm (August 21 to 25).

Ibn Battuta Mall

Ibn Battuta Mall is hosting an outof-this-world range of space-themed educationa­l activities — 3D outer space simulation, a virtual reality capsule, a Mars Rover replica, a miniature space station, a 3D space photo wall and more — to mark Eid Al Adha. The mall is also hosting a Discovery Channel exhibition at China Court.

Dubai Festival City Mall

Families can bring their little ones to Dubai Festival City Mall to meet cartoon characters Pink Fong and Baby Shark who will perform an interactiv­e medley of popular children’s songs at 4pm and 8pm on August 24-25. The venue will also have two musical fireworks on the first two days of Eid Al Adha.

City Centre Mirdif

Shoppers visiting City Centre Mirdif are in for a magical treat with The Enchanted Circus at Central Galleria. This non-ticketed show will take place from 21 August to 25 August at 4pm, 6pm, 7pm and 9pm.

Dubai Frame

Visitors to Dubai Frame will be entertaine­d by Ayala dancers, roaming entertainm­ent and giveaways for kids taking place from August 22 to 25, from 10am until 8pm.

Dragon Mart 2 will entertain families during the week with popular characters from Iftah Ya Sim Sim in a fun-filled interactiv­e show. Running from August 23 to September 1, this space-themed show will involve plenty of energetic dance numbers and songs for kids.

The Dubai Mall

For Eid, The Dubai Mall will be hosting an array of exciting activities and live entertainm­ent for the whole family to enjoy from August 21 to 24. Kids will have the chance to receive a special gift when they participat­e in the various arts and crafts workshops hosted by Sheibitna, a much-loved grandfathe­rly figure from Arabian folklore.

City Centre Deira

City Centre Deira has a firstof-its-kind indoors pop-up event running from the first day of Eid until September 30, which will include various food stalls, pop-up shops and a special entertainm­ent zone for live music and movie screenings from 10am daily. Flight Crew Jump Rope will jump-start the action from August 21 to 24, at 3pm, 6pm, 8.30pm and 10pm.

Al Majaz Waterfront

In Sharjah, Al Majaz Waterfront will host a three-minute fireworks display on the first and second days of Eid Al Adha at 9pm.
