UAE leaders greet armed forces doing duty in Yemen

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, congratula­ted the UAE Armed Forces currently in the field of duty, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

In a speech carried on a live video-link, Their Highnesses expressed their pride in the Emirati people and their honourable actions.

Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid said: “I wish you all — and the nation — safety every year. You represent a model of the Emirati people that we are proud of. My brother Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed and I are proud of you and we convey to you the greetings of the Emirati people. History will never forget your honourable actions.”

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed said: “Like Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid said, you are everyone’s role model. May Allah Almighty bless and protect you and bring you back safe and victorious to your families and nation.”

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed saluted the men for conducting their national duty. The soldiers expressed their heartfelt pleasure at receiving the congratula­tions, affirming their morale and firm determinat­ion to continue on the path of duty, pledging to Allah, the wise leadership and the nation, to fulfil their tasks loyally.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council; Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidenti­al Affairs; Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and other shaikhs were also present at the live video-link proceeding­s.
