Here’s how to avoid falling for real estate scams.

Check the company’s trade licence and see if its activities are mentioned in its DED licence.

Check if the project is registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, Dubai Land Department’s legal arm.

It’s website www.dubailand.gov.ae also allows you to look up the status of each project.

Make your payments to an escrow account.

Verify the antecedents of the person you are dealing with. Don’t rush into signing a deal. Ask questions.
