5. Asia bibi acquitted

Pakistan’s Supreme Court overturned a Christian woman’s blasphemy death sentence on Wednesday. In acquitting Asia Bibi of blasphemy charges, the court declared the death penalty handed down to her by a session court null and void. Social media users, however, had a mixed reaction to the court decision.
