Hamdan lauds teams behind UAE ranking

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, met with teams from the Dubai Government and the Federal Competitiv­eness and Statistics Authority, whose hard work resulted in the UAE ranking 11th worldwide in the 2019 World Bank Ease of Doing Business report.

Shaikh Hamdan said that this achievemen­t was made possible through unified efforts and teamwork on the local and federal levels. He indicated that this accomplish­ment is a new step forward in the UAE’s rapid developmen­t and efforts to exemplify the leadership’s vision, which aims for the UAE to be the top country in the world in all fields.

“Through our strength, determinat­ion and ambitions, we will be able to achieve our targets, continue to bolster our infrastruc­ture and develop our capabiliti­es.

“We will accept nothing except being ranked first. We are all partners in this responsibi­lity towards our nation,” said Shaikh Hamdan.

“It is our duty to preserve our accomplish­ments and build on them to meet the aspiration­s of our people and reaffirm that our leadership was not merely a coincidenc­e, but rather the results of wise planning for strategic goals that foresee the future,” he added. “The UAE’s experience is now a role model, and we are confidentl­y moving forward towards the future through the wise leadership’s vision.”

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, and other officials attended the meeting.
