ADX issues thought paper on crypto assets

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has issued a thought paper on the infrastructure required for a digital and distributed ledger environment to identify the technical and operational criteria required to issue crypto-assets.

The study will help financial institutions manage the transition of issuances from traditional assets to crypto-assets, the bourse said. Rashed Al Beloushi, chief executive of the ADX, pointed out the importance of upgrading financial market infrastructure (FMI) and incorporating standards of governance. (Staff Report)
