CISF trooper among 5 killed in Maoist attack
CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) head constable D. Mukhopadhyay and four civilians were killed yesterday when Maoists blew up a mini bus in which they were returning to their camp, after grocery shopping, in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district, police said.
The deadly attack took place four days before the first phase of the Assembly polls in the state. It was also the third Maoist attack in 13 days in Chhattisgarh. Eight, including five civilians and three CISF men, were travelling in the mini bus. (IANS)
