The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is a long-term supporter of the event, having promoted Italian companies at the Water, Energy, Technology and Energy Exhibition (WETEX) for over 10 years. The Italian businesses will be joining hundreds of local and global companies at the 21st edition of the show, the region’s largest sustainability and renewable technology exhibition. ITA participation in WETEX this year will showcase some of the most ingenious and promising Italian companies, all eager to seize the opportunities of cooperation in the region. All the Italian firms have a high level of expertise in sustainability, environmental technologies and eco-friendly solutions, and are specialised in many different sectors, from energy generation, transmission and distribution to waste collection and disposal, from water recovery and recycling to green building.
Looking ahead, WETEX will be the first exhibition during next year’s Expo2020 Dubai and with sustainability one of the event’s key pillars, next week’s exhibition is an important leadup to Expo2020 Dubai. Our selected Italian companies will be meeting partners and distributors next week and showcasing their creativity and innovation, which puts them firmly at the forefront of Italian technological capabilities. WETEX is an outstanding platform devoted to the value chains of water and energy, a great showcase for the advanced Italian know-how.
The ITA has confirmed 22 companies that will take part in WETEX 2019 & Dubai Solar
Show next week, six of which will be attending the exhibition for the first time. The companies are all highly-specialised in a range of areas: from water treatment and recycling to energy generation and renewables, to air control and environmental protection systems and green building.

C&M Bioscience (http://cm-bioscience.com/) is an innovative start-up focused on the environmental sustainability sector, making sensors and plants for environmental monitoring, energy and environmental consulting services. DOSEURO (http://www.doseuro.com/) is known for its reliable metering pumps, offered at competitive prices, achieved through constant product development, careful design and updating production techniques.
Faggiolati Pumps S.p.A. (http://www.faggiolatipumps. it/) has for over 30 years been designing and manufacturing submersible pumps for waste water, desalination, marine environment, general industrial applications. FIP – Formatura Iniezione Polimeri S.p.A. (http://www.aliaxis-gulf.com/), founded in 1954 produces injection molded valves and fittings in thermoplastic materials: high-efficiency products for industrial systems and for conventional pressure pipeline systems, civil and industrial water treatment and irrigation. Graded S.p.A. (http://graded.it/) is an ESCo Napoli based company, operating in Italy and abroad, focused on designing and delivering energy-efficiency solutions for the private and public sector.
High Pressure SRL (http:// www.hpwatermaker.it/), founded in 1995, produces a range of manual semi-automatic and fully automatic reverse osmosis watermakers. Intereco SAS (http://intereco. it/), established in 1978, that first worked on heating and air conditioning projects, is now one of the leading manufacturers of equipment for sludge treatment, making equipment for municipal water treatment plants. Kernel Sistemi SRL (http://www.kernelgroup.it/) produces and trades electronic devices for renewable energy, energy efficiency, building automation and industrial automation. Nobel SRL (https:// www.nobel.srl/) designs and makes systems for water treatment ion exchange deionisers, including systems for production of high pure water; reverse osmosis systems for brackish and soft water. O.M.C. Collareda Srl (https://www.omc-collareda.com/) is an international leading factory in designing, manufacturing, assembling and commissioning equipment for Municipal and Industrial Water Treatment Plants.
The OCMI-OTG Spa group (https://www.ocmigroup.com/ index.php) covers both manufacturing and engineering of mechanical components with special focus on gears and transmissions. Established in 1977, OCMI’s main business is glass machines engineering and manufacturing. S.C.M. Tecnologie (SRL https://www.scmtec.com/) is a family owned company designing and manufacturing equipment for aeration and mixing system for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. SERECO (http://www.sereco.it/) is an Italian manufacturer of quality equipment for water, sewage and wastewater treatment and supplies packages of process equipment. STEIEL ELETTRONICA SRL (http:// www.steiel.it/) has been producing tailor-made solutions since 1973 in water treatment, with full technical and commercial support. Trigenia (SRL http://www.trigenia.it/) is an ESCO (Energy Service Company), providing services that include energy audits, financing, design, installation, operational management and maintenance. Unidelta S.p.A. (http://www. unidelta.com/en/index/1-0. html), founded in 1973, focuses on the idro-thermo-sanitary sector. Its product portfolio includes plastic pipes, fittings for hot and cold water and for gas.
In recent years, the UAE and GCC nations are redefining their energy and environmental policies. The UAE announced a 50 per cent clean energy target by 2050, 70 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions and increase energy efficiency, more than doubling its ongoing move away from fossil fuel dependence by planning to invest Dh700 billion (EUR 180 billion) to achieve the targets. We have Italian expertise that can address the region’s challenges and contribute to the world’s requirements.
