1. #DubaiRun

The #DubaiRun was organised on November 8, where Shaikh Zayed Road was turned into a running track, for the first time in history. The event was held as a part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 and almost 70,000 people participat­ed in the event.

Mohamad Shameem: Amazing experience and enjoyed a lot. Completed the 10km run in 60 min.

2. UAE weather

Many parts of the UAE saw heavy rainfall this week. Social media users shared pictures and videos of the rain. Temperatur­es fall across the UAE as residents get ready for winter.

The #DubaiMotor­Show was also a major talking point among car lovers who came from all around the UAE to attend the event. 3. World Diabetes Day

On #WorldDiabe­tesDay November 14, social media users discussed the importance of getting checked early, as millions of people all around the world are diabetic.

@WHO: Over 420 million people live with #diabetes. It’s the 7th leading cause of death and a major cause of costly and debilitati­ng complicati­ons such as: heart attacks, stroke, kidney failure, blindness and lower limb amputation­s.

4. Bangladesh train tragedy

A train heading for the southern port city of Chittagong and one bound for Dhaka collided in Brahmanbar­ia. The crash killed 14 people and injured more than 40.

5. Dubai motor show

The 15th edition of the biennial motoring extravagan­za, taking place in Dubai, was a popular topic online among car lovers. More than 550 vehicles were on display.
