When Mohammad Bin Zayed made Emirati girl’s day
Aisha gets much more than she desired
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the home of an Emirati girl yesterday, who had missed the chance to shake his hand last week. Aisha Mohammad Masheet Al Mazroui could be seen on TV holding out her hand to Shaikh Mohammad during last week’s reception for the Saudi Crown Prince. However, Shaikh Mohammad didn’t notice the girl’s hand. To make it up to the little girl Shaikh Mohammad visited Aisha at her home on UAE National Day.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday visited the home of an Emirati girl, who had missed the chance to shake his hand last week.
Aisha Mohammad Masheet Al Mazroui could be seen on TV holding out her hand to Shaikh Mohammad during last week’s official reception for Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
However, Shaikh Mohammad didn’t notice the girl’s outstretched hand and walked past. Aisha then ran to the front of the delegation to join the queue and shake Shaikh Mohammad’s hand, but still missed out. She looked disappointed in the TV footage after Shaikh Mohammad walked past.
In order to make it up to the little girl Shaikh Mohammad visited Aisha at her family’s home on National Day yesterday.
Videos of the girl holding out her hand at the official reception and Shaikh Mohammad later going to meet her at her house were widely circulated on social media.
One such tweet from Hassan Sajwani read, “I have no words, Shaikh @ MohamedBinZayed personally visits Ayesha Al Mazrouei whom he missed shaking hands [with] during CP Mohamed bin Salman’s state visit.
“When a leader goes to that level of micro details of taking care of his people, then that’s #UAE!”
